Solano Canyon

Historic Solano Canyon  LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90012

Welcome to Historic Solano Canyon!

From its humble beginning in 1866 to the start of major development in 1888 and up to the present day, most of the people who live here consider Solano Canyon the best place to live in all of Los Angeles.

And who are 'we' — the residents of Solano Canyon?  It all began in 1866 with Francisco Solano, who was a butcher by trade.  Today, we are artists and craftsmen, architects and designers, scientists and engineers, writers, entrepreneurs, musicians, performers, gardeners, painters, stay-at-home parents, and much more.  In other words, we are Everyone.

We are 20 minutes from the beach, two hours from the snow, and a short, five-minute walk from Chinatown.  We are as close to being in the middle of things as we could be without our actually being in the middle of things.  And we are surrounded by magnificent Elysian Park.  We live a simple but beautiful life.
