Solano Canyon

Historic Solano Canyon  LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90012

Welcome to Historic Solano Canyon!

Established in 1866 with the arrival of Francisco Solano—a butcher by trade and the community’s namesake—Solano Canyon has evolved from modest origins into one of Los Angeles’ most cherished neighborhoods. Since the commencement of significant development in 1888, it has remained a place where history, community, and nature coexist in harmony.

So, who are we—the people of Solano Canyon?
We are artists and engineers, musicians and writers, architects, designers, performers, parents, and small business owners. We are creative souls and curious minds, hands-on makers and thoughtful dreamers. In short, we are Everyone.

Ideally situated, Solano Canyon lies just 20 minutes from the beach, two hours from snow-capped mountains, and only a short walk from the cultural richness of DTLA. Nestled alongside the natural beauty of Elysian Park, the neighborhood offers both serenity and proximity to the dynamic pulse of Los Angeles.

Ours is a community that values tradition, embraces diversity, and celebrates the everyday beauty of life in one of the city’s most unique enclaves.
